The Department of Gastroenterology provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for GI, liver, biliary, and pancreatic conditions, distinguishing itself as a leading regional center equipped with a state-of-the-art endoscopy suite. Driven by advanced technology and a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, the department offers specialized services—including Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), electro-hydraulic lithotripsy (EHL), and bariatric endoscopy—that are rarely available elsewhere in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Reflecting exceptional growth from managing 6,000 annual outpatient visits in 2020 to over 20,000 visits, 3,000 admissions, and up to 5,000 procedures today, the department remains deeply committed to clinical excellence, innovation, and reducing the need for patients to travel outside the province for specialized care.
